New Brunswick has fairly moderate temperatures. In the summer, the temperature exceeds 29°C or drops below 18°C only one day in ten. The climate is comforatble; not too hot or too cold. In New Brunswick a few natural disasters may occur, such as flooding, hurricanes and tropical storms. However, these do not happen too often and should not be worried about in the short span of time we will be spending there. Locals report that the best time to visit is August, the weather is good and it is not overly busy because most of the tourists come in July.

The population of New Brunswick is 756,050 people as of 2013. The economy of New Brunswick is based on it's natural resources. Forestry is their main industry; the central areas are heavily forested. Mining is also a large industry. Zinc and other heavy metals can be mined in Bathurst. Also, Sussex has one of the world's largest Potash deposits. Farming is also considered an important industry. In the northwest of the province the main crop is potatoes.
